Description:
L-Homocysteine thiolactone is an amine-reactive compound used in the study of post-translational protein modification, especially at lysine residues.
It is an intramolecular thioester of homocysteine that prevents translational incorporation of homocysteine into proteins.
L-HCT HCl is also a synthetic PET radiotracer and has been used for imaging brain tumors and other cancers.
